Company History



SparkPeople.com launched in 2001 as a goal setting site. We quickly realized that most of our members were interested in nutrition, fitness, and health goals so we quickly became a nutrition and fitness site in 2002. As we added premium tools like our meal planner and fitness tracker we became a paid subscription site. However, in 2005 we decided to become 100% free, and still offered ALL of our tools and resources for free.
 
We love being a free site since it allows us to help EVERYONE in the world become healthier and reach their goals.
