  • How do I track my exercise and calories burned?
Members who track their nutrition intake using the Nutrition Tracker and calories burned using the Fitness Tracker are able to find the right balance between the two, which helps them to be successful in reaching their weight-related goals. SparkPeople's Fitness Tracker estimates calories burned for various activities.
To search for an exercise:
  1. Roll your mouse over “My Trackers” in the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Click on “My Fitness."
  3. You’ll now see your Fitness Tracker page.
  4. Type the name of the exercise you want to track in the box that asks, "What did you do today?"
  5. Click “Search,” which is on the right side of the search text box.
  6. Select the exercise that is the closest match for the exercise you want to track by clicking on the exercise name.
  7. Enter the number of minutes in the box next to “Add."
  8. To have easy access to this exercise later, you can add it to your Favorites list by clicking the checkbox to the right of the page that says, “Add this Exercise to My Favorites.”
  9. Click “Add Exercise To Tracker” at the bottom of the page.
  10. Your exercise will now be listed on your Fitness Tracker page.
To choose and track an exercise from your list of Favorites:
  1. Roll your mouse over “My Trackers” in the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Click on “My Fitness."
  3. You’ll now see your Fitness Tracker page.
  4. Click on the “Favorites” tab, which is the second tab to the right.
  5. Check the box(es) for the exercise(s) that you want to track.
  6. Enter the number of minutes in the "Minutes" box to the far right. If you are tracking a strength exercise, you can also enter the number of sets, reps and weight in the appropriate boxes to the right. If you are tracking a manually entered exercise, you can enter the calories burned amount in the "Calories" box to the right.
  7. Click “Add Selected Favorites to Tracker” at the bottom of the page.
  8. Your exercise(s) will now be listed on your Fitness Tracker page.
