The name is molly, i'm 16 and I live in Iowa. I first joined sparkteens actually quite a while ago. my oldest sister joined this site (the older version of it) a couple years back and has lost a quite a bit of weight from it.. somewhere around 50 pounds (180-130). Last summer, she had an internship in arizona, so she stayed with my cousins. I went down to visit her and stayed down there a couple weeks as well. so, she showed me this site because she knew that I had always struggled with my weight. at that point in time I was around 150. But I wasn't ready to lose weight. when she showed me this site, i took it quite offensively actually. I finally decided to join around christmas time last year (2008) but didn't really use it. it was like all my other past diets.. last for a couple days. Last June (2009), I was going on vacation in one week.. and I knew my stomach wasn't quite up to par, so I started to use the site again.. hoping I could drop a couple pounds before vacation. I used the site faithfully for about a week and lost 4 pounds. and then it hit me. I could do this. I went on vacation and decided that I going to eat whatever I wanted. I got back, and for about a week I continued to eat not so great.. but after that week, I started up again. and throughout the entire summer I tracked my food and exercised regularly and as you can tell from the pictures.. it worked wonderfully. I lost 13 pounds over the summer and even some of my friends noticed. School started up again in the fall and I kind of fell off the wagon. the school lunches really messed me up. I didn't want to pack my lunch, so I would just eat there.. and I have the mindset that once my day is ruined.. i might as well go all out. and I did that every day. thankfully.. i was in cross country season, so I ran a lot every day and still managed to lose another 4 pounds in about a month and a half. not too bad. but cross country is over. and I need to get back on the wagon. I'm 5'2" currently weigh 138 pounds. My goal was 115 pounds by march 10th (my half birthday).. but realizing that I might not be able to get that low.. i've set my goal for somewhere between 110 and 125. obviously, i'm short, but I lift regularly, so I'd rather be a strong 125 pound girl than a weak 110 pound girl. i'd be the same size either way, just a lot more toned if I weigh more with more muscle, than less, with less muscle. p.s. thanks for reading my saga! so here's my stats: Height: 5'2" Start weight: 155 - 6/1/09 SP Start weight: 152 - 6/24/09 Current weight: 138 [x] July 8 - 150 [June 26] [x] Aug 12 - 145 [August 1st, 144.6] [x] Sept 16 - 140 [no idea when I hit this mark.. Whether you're a musician, a writer, an athlete or a businessman, there is no getting around it. If you do, you'll win-if you don't you won't. You cannot plough a field by turning it over in your mind. I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end. ****He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying**** Put your heart, mind, intellect and soul even to your smallest acts. This is the secret of success. ***One saves oneself much pain, by taking pains; much trouble, by taking trouble. ****
