My Story...
Hi! My name is Hannah. My story begins about six years ago, when I began losing weight. What happened was that I began to do homeschooling, therefore, no "real" physical activity like gym or whatever. I have a large frame anyway, so the extra weight didn't benfit me in any way. To be honest I didn't realize how big I was. My highest weight was at 184 pounds. I was in a size sixteen, which is not a good size for me, because naturally, I'm like around a 6/8... I think. I think. My family and friends began making comments on my weight and physical things that I could do to help get it off without saying "You're overweight! Start exercising!". LOL. Well this made me feel hurt and angry, because I truly didn't see how big I was. Also at the time I was eating over 2200 calories a day! Terrible I know! Now! I didn't know then, I thought that what I was eating was alright. I remember eating a frozen burrito and instead of eating the usual TWO (yeah, TWO!) I would think, "I'm trying to lose a few pounds." -thinking like 2-5-, and so I would just eat one SMOTHERED in sour cream, salsa, with nacho chips! Ha! And I'd eat like two to three of those Little Debbie cosmic brownies a day. It was terrible. So after more and more comments, along with the excess weight, my self confidence began to decline. Depression set in, and I wasn't happy. So, in February of this year, I began to watch The Biggest Loser. It changed my life. I decided that I wanted to be like these people who seemed to be so happy and confident and...beautiful after they lost their weight. So I began exercising...and counting calories...and made good choices (as in an apple over a brownie! LOL). I started out doing cardio yoga and strength training. And from 2/09 to 9/09 I lost 28 pounds. (!) I'm now in a size 10, hopefully soon to go to an 8 =) I weigh 158 ( I got down to 156, got the flu and gained 2 pounds), and right now, I do circuit training with Jillian Michaels' DVDs and I'd like to start walking/jogging/running again. I like the feeling when I run, but at the moment, its really not easy to do, with the weather and the treadmill isn't in a good place for me to do it. I think I'll start back after the 20th. Oh! I started something called the New Moon Challenge. It is to lose up to 20 pounds by November 20th, for New Moon, of course.:D I myself have only lost 7-8. But I don't care, because its just to try to lose as much as you can by that date. Anyone is welcome to join. After that, I might come out with another challenge and anyone is welcome to join that too. The requirements to join my challenges are just to have a SparkAccount, a SparkPage and blog every week. Anyway, that's enough about me. I'm happy to be friends with anyone and everyone.....and if anyone ever needs my help, I'm ready to give it.=) Just send me a message, leave a comment, etc. Best wishes on your weight loss journey! I hope sincerely that it is as rewarding as mine has been and surely will continue to be!
