The dreaded choices of school and work

Friday, November 06, 2009

So I'm in 10th grade and I plan on Dual Enrolling in11th and 12th grade. But in order to do that I must get a Job. I know I'm home schooled so that should not be a issue but I also go to college prep classes on Wed. And as Thanksgiving break is coming up and then soon followed by Christmas break and then the dreaded second semester. Now please don't get me wrong I love my class and my teachers but they are so hard during second semester. I met someone who use to go to this school and then went to college and he said I'll do fine and also that college was easier that the class I'm taking now. Back to the job thing. Once I'm out of school my family is planing on going on a road rally to Yellowstone and I'm really excited. So when I get back that's when I need to get a job. But I'm worried that I wound be able too because of the economy.

Well I have gotta go.

It is really difficult to find a job these days. I'm searching for a third! I do have a few tips, if you don't mind me giving advice without it being asked for, haha.

Ok, when you go to pick up/drop off an application, try to look your best, look professional, and always be polite and upbeat.

Regardless of your previous work history, or what job you're applying for, bring a resume. If you haven't had any "real jobs" you can put any babysitting or volunteering you've done.

Good luck!
