Community Service
System: Positive Force: Community Service: SP Recommendations

Keep in Mind...
...Community Service really does begin at home. Your friends and family, as part of your immediate community, can benefit from small "services" that you perform. Any time you sacrifice time, money or effort for the benefit of others, whether a large or small group, it's Community Service. Too often, we treat strangers and acquaintances nicer than we treat our loved ones.

...An effective way to make a difference is to choose just one or a few causes that you really believe in and throw yourself into them with energy. If you're called to a cause, you might have greater impact if you don't duplicate efforts. If they already exist, seek out organizations that pursue similar goals and combine your resources and energy with them.

...Community Service is motivated by an "I want to" attitude, not "I have to" or "I should".
